Meghan Limbrick . Designer

I am a designer/maker based in Brighton, UK. When I was younger I spent my time making tiny notebooks and being extremely interested in spies, Ancient Egypt and the work of the multi-skilled artist Kit Williams. My ideas often manifest themselves in 3D form with an element of interaction. I studied Illustration at the University of Brighton and graduated in July 2009.

In the future I hope to have engaged all of my metaphorical fingers in a complex variety of successful pies. Please contact me if you have any suggestions or comments to this end.

This is the collage work by Clare Rojas as part of the IKON exhibition that I talked about in the last post. She had lots of her old paintings lasercut into tiles and then pieced them together into a mosaic. Reusing parts of material which originally had a cohesive graphic pattern always seems to work really well, and its the kind of idea that you could use practically if you found enough of the original material. The floor of The Rag Factory in Brick Lane (where we had our degree show last year) is a great example of this.
